It is charged with thegeneral direction and control of the government and is collectivelyresponsible to Parliament.11:2 PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS OF CABINETThe Cabinet deals with all matters of policy including draft legislationwhich requires the approval of Parliament; all matters involvingexpenditures and financial arrangements requiring the sanction ofParliament; and matters connected with the prudent and efficientfunctioning and general direction of the administration of Government.The Cabinet's principal functions are usually articulated as follows:(i)making the final determination of all policy matters submitted to
