White Paper on Public Sector ReformIt is not persuaded that the practice of less government and widespreadprivatisation should be followed unwittingly. Less government does notnecessarily mean better government. Barbados is persuaded that reforms couldbe designed to achieve significant improvement in the quality of governmentservices. Public sector activities will be re-oriented to make users of the servicefeel they are active customers rather than passive recipients. This approach willfoster collaborative partnership between government, the private sector, labour,and the community.
