Some of these are:(I)unbearable fiscal deficits and the imperative of maintaining astable currency;(ii)external economic factors, specifically, the pressures of globaleconomic liberalization and the need for encouraging growth andproductivity in the private sector;(iii) unfavourable trade conditions heightened by global tradegroupings;(iv)debt burdens, high interest rates and global economic recession;
