White Paper on Public Sector Reform(iv)(v)Office accommodation renewal, maintenance and upgrading of officefurniture and equipment.Upgrading of the physical plant and technology at the TrainingDivision, together with personnel, to enable it to undertake specifiedtraining service-wide.The costs will not be exclusively new costs, but will be absorbed as part of theallocations to the various agencies for on-going activities. New costs will occur inthe areas of infrastructure upgrading and acquisition and installation of newinformation systems through out the public sector.It is expected that some of the training and retraining elements of the reformprogramme, will attract support from international agencies and will be undertakenin collaboration with private sector training agencies. In addition, currentresources will be redirected where possible, to give support and momentum to theprocess. It is expected that the costs associated with the foregoing five areas couldbe in excess of one million dollars per year over a three year period.13:3:1 BENEFITSBenefits will accrue at both national and organisational levels in the public sectorreform programme.
