Section 14 OSHA Reports for 2003 - FunctionalOverviewSection 14OSHA Reports for 2003 - FunctionalOverviewNote: This functionality was originally delivered with <strong>Human</strong> <strong>Resources</strong><strong>Release</strong> 6.0.4.The US Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration(OSHA) is the federal authority which oversees the standards of health and safetyplans adopted by various industries in the United States of America. The health andsafety plans implemented in each industrial sector within the USA must comply withthe safety standards established by this agency.All employers are required to document and record any work-related injuries andillnesses occurring at each job location on two OSHA forms:• Form 300 - Log of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses (replaces OSHA Form101) and• Form 300A - Summary of Work-related Injuries and Illnesses (replaces OSHAForm 200)Employers must post Form 300A by February 1 following the year for which theincidents were recorded, for a duration of three (3) months.The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Reports have beenrevised for year 2003 with the following changes made in <strong>Banner</strong>:• A new category has been added to the Injury and Illness Type field on theHealth and Safety Incident Form (PEAHSIN)• The report formats of OSHA Form 300 and Form 300A have been updated tomeet the requirements for 2003 tracking and 2004 reporting.Changed FormThe following <strong>Human</strong> <strong>Resources</strong> Form has been modified.Application FormPEAHSINHealth and Safety Incident FormJanuary 2005 <strong>Human</strong> <strong>Resources</strong>/Position Control <strong>Release</strong> <strong>7.0</strong>Confidential <strong>Release</strong> <strong>Guide</strong> 189
