Once you are sure that the IPEDS Summary Report accurately reflects youremployee population, you may either manually complete the institutional andcertification information found on the NCES Web site or perform the Web fileupload through the NCES Web site. Instructions for the upload/input ofIPEDS information are given in the File Input/Update Tutorial on thefollowing Web site:http://nces.ed.gov/ipedsWeb UploadThe IPEDS Summary Report (PEREO61, -2) process creates a Web upload file inaddition to the hard copy report. The Web upload file is in a comma-delimitedformat that conforms to the NCES requirements for the creation of the Key PairValue file. (See Key Pair File Format immediately below for further information).Before the Web upload file is submitted to NCES, compare it with the IPEDSSummary Report data for accuracy.When the IPEDS Summary Report is run through Job Submission or the HostProcess, the file name is pereo62.txt.For any additional information on the IPEDS Web-Based Data collection processrefer to the following Web site:http://nces.ed.gov/ipedsor contact the IPEDS help desk at 1-877-225-2568.Key Pair Value File FormatThe key pair value file format is the standard from the National Center forEducational Statistics (NCES) that was used for the creation of the web uploadoption in the IPEDS reports.
