Section 3 Employee API - FunctionalOther Important API NotesIn order to ensure that the Pay Period Update Process (PHPUPDT) does not errorand terminate, an edit has been placed in the Pay Period Proof Process (PHPPROF).If the job dates and status are not consistent with the employee record criteria,either on the Leave or Termination windows, the employee will receive an error inthe payroll and the disposition will be set to '05'. The employee must be deleted inthe payroll, their records must be corrected on the Employee Form (PEAEMPL),and they must be re-extracted through the Time Processing Report (PHPTIME) tobe paid.SecurityIt is important to note that Oracle and Banner HR security will continue to executewhen data is processed through the API against the employee table, whether theprocessing source is within Banner or external to it.January 2005 Human Resources/Position Control Release 7.0Confidential Release Guide 45
