Because these are guidelines, the Underwriter has theauthority to grant exceptions, when unique characteristics about the applicant permit anexception. No incidents in months 0-12Maximum of 1 incident in 3yearsNo accidents in months 0-121 accident in months 13-36No incidents in months 0-12Maximum of 2 incidents in 3years1.Major Violations: includes careless or reckless driving; hit <strong>and</strong> run; leaving the scene of anaccident; driving under the influence of alcohol or any chemical including “implied consent”; openbottle; any alcohol, controlled substance or drug related violation; driving without insurance; drivingafter license suspension or revocation; a no-fault conviction; a school bus violation; anymisdemeanor violation; a felony involving the use of a motor vehicle; or a similar serious conviction.2.At-Fault Accidents: for new business acceptability, is defined as any incident in which the insuredwas 50% or more negligent, regardless of whether or not a claim payment was made.For accidents when the applicant is not at-fault, provide documentation showing that the applicantwas not at-fault such as a police report or documentation from a prior carrier.3.Incident: for new business acceptability, is defined as any moving violation or any at-fault accident.This does not include comprehensive <strong>and</strong> towing losses. For rating <strong>and</strong> underwriting, our companywill use the date the violation occurred.NOTE: The frequency of Comprehensive (OTC) losses <strong>and</strong>/or Towing claims may impact coverageor deductible availability. Please contact your Underwriting Team to discuss questionable risksbefore submitting.
