A Personal Auto Policy shall be used to affordcoverage to motor homes <strong>and</strong> golf carts (licensedfor road use) if:1. They are written on a specified vehicle basis;2. They are owned by:a. An individual;b. A husb<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> wife;c. Parties who have entered into a domesticpartnership as defined in Rule 2.A.2.b;c. A vehicle owned by a trust, in which thegrantor is a corporate entity, is not eligibleunder the Personal Auto Programbut may be written under a commercialauto policy.2. EndorsementAttach the Trust endorsement PP 13 03 tothe policy.ExceptionExposures mentioned above may be writtenunder a commercial auto policy when combinedwith a commercial risk. Refer to the CommercialAuto Programd. Two or more relatives other than:(1) Husb<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> wife; or(2) Parties who have entered into adomestic partnership as defined in Rule2.A.2.b; ore. Two or more resident individuals; <strong>and</strong>3. Coverage is limited in accordance with theMiscellaneous Type Vehicle endorsement PP03 23.D. A Personal Auto Policy shall be used to affordcoverage to a named individual who does notown an auto. The Named Non-Owner Coverageendorsement PP 03 22 must be attached.REFER TO COMPANYE. A Personal Auto Policy shall be used to affordcoverage to:1. Private passenger autos <strong>and</strong> motor vehiclesconsidered as private passenger autos inRule 1.; <strong>and</strong>2. Motor homes, golf carts or other similar typesof vehicles;if title to the vehicle(s) has been transferred to atrust, subject to the following requirements:1. Requirementsa. The grantor of the trust must be:(1) An individual or a husb<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> wife;<strong>and</strong>(2) The only named insured(s) shown inthe Declarations.b. All vehicles insured under the policy mustbe owned by the trust.Rule 3.Premium DeterminationBodily Injury Liability <strong>and</strong> Property Damage Liability,Medical Payments, Comprehensive <strong>and</strong> Collision premiumsare determined as follows:A. Refer to the Classification Rule to determine theapplicable Classification, Rating Factor(s) <strong>and</strong>Statistical Code.B. Model Year <strong>and</strong> Symbol Determination1. Refer to the Model Year/Age Group Rule todetermine the model year/age of the auto<strong>and</strong> refer to the Symbol <strong>and</strong> IdentificationManual for the appropriate symbol of theauto.2. If no Rating Symbol is shown in the Symbol<strong>and</strong> Identification Manual, use the followingprocedure to determine an interim ratingsymbol.a. All Model Years Except 2<strong>01</strong>1(1) If the Symbol <strong>and</strong> IdentificationManual displays a rating symbol forthe PRIOR MODEL YEAR version ofthe same vehicle, use the priormodel year’s Rating Symbol for thenew model year vehicle.(2) If the Symbol <strong>and</strong> IdentificationManual does not display a ratingsymbol for the PRIOR MODELYEAR version of the same vehicle orit is a new model, assign a symbolbased on the cost new of the auto,using the Price/Symbol Chart locatedin Rule 11. of this Manual.1-1-2<strong>01</strong>0 PA-3 General RulesIncludes copyrighted material with permission of <strong>Insurance</strong> Services Office, Inc.
