Participant 6 – Gil Asta) Work performed during the period• WP4 Group 6 (Ast) Based on Swartz et al., 2008 Genome Research paper in which wecompare splicing signals in 22 different organisms we generated a unified dataset of all known splice signals.WP6: We compared splice sites and splicing factors that bind these sites among the entireeukaryotic kingdom (Schwartz et al., 2008). We compared the evolution of genes, exon-intron structure, introngain and loss, and the effect of transposed elements in vertebrates and invertebrates.• WP8 Group 6 (Ast) continued to analyzed groups of PTB-regulated exons provided by Group23 (Smith) for motif enrichment.
