WP21 Reachout to the broader RNA communityAll 40 <strong>EURASNET</strong> members have contributed to the “Broader outreach to the wider RNA community” via asignificant number of publications, workshops, presentations and consultancies at national and internationalmeetings, to industry, clinicians and medical scientists and to students. The reorganization of the websitemanagement (Brown; Barta) and the co-ordination between the Dissemination work-packages dealing with thewebsite (WP1), Public Understanding of Science (WP19) and Broader outreach to the wider RNA community(WP21) allowed the formation of a team of individuals dealing with various aspects of outreach. This team nowregularly contacts <strong>EURASNET</strong> members to capture and disseminate information in various forms such as thenew website, newsletters, reports etc.. In addition, non-<strong>EURASNET</strong> RNA scientists and clinicians are contactedwith details of upcoming meetings and workshops. The team has also taken responsibility for gatheringinformation on publications and interactions for the annual reports and maintain a current publication list from<strong>EURASNET</strong> members on the website.WP22 ManagementParticipant 1A (R. Lührmann) coordinated the Network's scientific, financial and administrative actions. He was inpermanent contact with SAB, Network members (in particular the Steering Committee) and the EC. He providedlogistic support for various workshops, meetings and IFMs and prepared the <strong>Annual</strong> <strong>Report</strong> <strong>2008</strong>. Participant 2 (J.Valcárcel) as one of the Deputy Coordinators and as member of the Steering Committee supervised major parts ofthe Network's activities in the field of micro-arrays. His team was involved in the organization of the Krakowmeeting and other IFMs and workshops. Participants 3 (S. Stamm), 9 (J. Beggs), 15 (J. Cáceres), 16 (M. Carmo-Fonseca), 21 (A. Krämer) and 22 (A. Lamond) acted as members of the Steering Committee. Participant 14 (J.Brown), the new Integration-Deputy Coordinator, supervised the redesign of the <strong>EURASNET</strong> website.16
