[2] Auffanggurt nach <strong>EN</strong> 361<br />
Zur Sicherung in absturzgefährdeten<br />
Bereichen und zum Auffangen von<br />
Stürzen (z. B. bei Arbeiten an Türmen,<br />
Masten, Gebäudeüberhängen).<br />
[3] Auffanggurte zur Verwendung<br />
im Steigschutz in Verbindung mit <strong>EN</strong><br />
353-1<br />
Zur Sicherung in absturzgefährdeten<br />
Bereichen und zum Auffangen von<br />
Stürzen in Verbindung mit mitlaufenden<br />
Auffanggeräten an fester Führung<br />

<strong>EN</strong><br />
Safety harnesses are subject to<br />
different standards depending on their<br />
area of application and intended use:<br />
[1] Work position harness in<br />
accordance with <strong>EN</strong> 358<br />
To keep the user in the working<br />
position and hold him back in areas<br />
where there is a danger of falling. The<br />
holding eyelets are normally on the<br />
side in the area of the hips.<br />
[2] Fall-arrest harness in<br />
accordance with <strong>EN</strong> 361<br />
For protection in areas where there is<br />
a danger of falling and for catching in<br />
the event of falls (e.g. when working<br />
on towers, masts, overhangs on<br />
buildings).<br />
[3] Fall-arrest harness for use in<br />
climbing protection in combination<br />
with <strong>EN</strong> 353-1<br />
For protection in areas where there<br />
is a danger of falling and for catching<br />
in the event of falls in combination<br />
with follow ing devices in fixed guides<br />
– climbing protection – (e.g. during<br />
work on towers, masts). The climbing<br />
protection eyelets are normally on the<br />
waist belt, centrally in front of the<br />
body.<br />
[4] Sitting Harness in accordance<br />
with <strong>EN</strong> 813<br />
For holding in sitting working position<br />
when hanging freely. Sitting harness<br />
eyelets are, if possible, in the area of<br />
the body’s centre of gravity.<br />
[5] Rescue Harness/Loop<br />
Harnesses and loops for rescuing people.<br />
