Design and Fabrication of Ion Beam Sputtering System with 10 KEV Energy<br />

An ion beam sputtering coaters with a Kaufman<br />

operated. The cylindrical vacuum chamber is 66 cm length with an inner diameter 52 cm. The vacuum pressure of<br />

9x 10 -4 Pa is obtained using a 32 m3/h rotary pump and a 400 lit/s turbo pump. A beam of different ion gas (H2,<br />

O2, CH4, N2,…) was produced by ion source, with 5 cm diameter and 10 keV energy, by which the targets fixed on<br />

the grounded holder were sputtered. Then the sputtered atoms were deposited on the substrates settled under the<br />

target holder. The construction of different components such as ion source cooling system target holder and so on<br />

will be describe, followed discussion of particular features thereof. The dependence of the ion current density on the<br />

applied energy and the pressure will be studied too.<br />
