Recent Improvements of PLACET
The tracking code PLACET is used to simulate
the beam transport in linear colliders
from the damping ring to the interaction
point and beyond. Recent improvements of
systems.
Accelerator Physics Code Web Repository
In the framework of the CARE HHH European
Network, we have developed a
web-based dynamic accelerator-physics code
repository. We describe the design, structure
and contents of this web repository, illustrate
its usage, and discuss our future plans.
MCCS - A Mathematica Notebook for Sector Separated Cyclotron Modeling
We present a Mathematica Notebook MSSC
(Model for Sector Separated Cyclotrons) for A. Adelmann (PSI) D.H. An (KIRAMS)
the design and optimization of separate sector
cyclotrons. From a minimum set of conceptual principles, such as isochronicity, and magnetic rigidity, MSSC
gives the geometrical layout of the magnet sectors and RF gaps, vertical and radial tunes for the equilibrium and
acceleration orbits, and the number of turns of the cyclotron for the extraction energy. Analytic description of rf and
magnetic field distributions as well as measured field distributions can be used. MSSC is able to produce maps used
in mad9p* in order to track particles with full 3D space charge. We show single particle dynamics as well as results
from large multi-particle simulations, including 3D space charge, from our megawatt cyclotron facility.
Electron Linac Based e,X-radiation Facility
In a number of technologies based on highcurrent
electron accelerators bremsstrahlung
is generated in the interaction of the beam
with the irradiated object. Thus, in addition
to the electron radiation, the bremsstahlung may be used for carring out of different technolodgical programs (e,Xfacility).
A method for the numerical analysis and optimization of the radiation characteristics of such installation is
