The HI99121 kit has been designed to
address the question of correct and
rapid measurement of pH directly in soil.
Every item in this kit has been made to
facilitate measurements in the field without
compromising accuracy. With HI99121,
you can test the pH of soil directly or after
preparation of a diluted sample. In order to
measure the pH directly, the kit includes a
plastic auger to perforate the ground.
The HI1292D has a conic, rugged tip
and can be directly inserted in moist or
soft soil. The electrode incorporates a
temperature sensor near the tip to enable it
to measure and quickly compensate
for temperature.
For higher degrees of accuracy, or for
stony ground where the electrode may be
damaged, use the specially-made HI7051M
preparation solution. This solution is
included in the package to help you
measure pH more precisely by dilution.
The dual-level LCD shows the pH value
from -2 to 16, with 0.01 resolution. It
simultaneously displays the temperature

custom microprocessor, the user is
helped with clear prompts during operation
and calibration.
HI99121 is supplied with: HI1292D–pH
electrode, HI7051M–soil preparation
solution, HI700663–pH 4 and HI700664–pH
7 buffer sachets, ground auger, electrode
cleaning solutions, batteries, rugged
carrying case and instructions.

• The Model HI993310 was specifically designed to address the need for
correct and rapid conductivity measurements in soil and liquids
• It is supplied with two probes: HI76305 with a stainless steel, conical tip for
direct soil measurement; and HI76304 for fertilizer-enriched solutions. Both
probes have a one meter cable (3.28’)
• The meter measures both the soil conductivity in EC (µS/cm) as well as
salt activity in grams per liter
• The different scales can be selected through two keys on the front mask, and
two separate LEDs indicate which parameter is being tested
• In addition, the meter is equipped with an alarm LED that automatically turns
on if the soil is too dry, or nutritive substances such as potassium or nitrogen
are lacking
• In the former case, demineralized water is to be added to the soil prior to
proceeding with further tests
• Direct soil measurement is facilitated by the small-diameter,
stainless steel, pointed HI76305 probe
• Once inserted into the ground, the user simply waits until the meter displays
the value read by the auger-like probe
• Test solution, HI7031L, comes in a 500 ml bottle
