BOLD - Black Out Light
Deprivation Tarp
Light deprivation is a technique used in horticulture to
force crops to bloom earlier. By depriving a garden of
an extended photoperiod, the plants stay in a blooming
stage. This means a bigger and better harvest, sooner.
The black-out cycle can be done automatically or
manually. The black-out cover should be durable and
highly tear resistant to endure the rigorous motion of
each cycle change during the course of growing.
Americover’s light deprivation tarps
• The ideal cover for growing environments that require
total darkness. Can be used in automatic or manual
greenhouse set-ups in addition to indoor grow rooms
• The ONLY lightweight, reinforced light deprivation tarp
that consists of two sheets of high strength virgin
polyethylene film laminated together with a third layer
of molten polyethylene
• White outer layer contains UV inhibitors and thermal
stabilizers to reduce heat build-up, and condensation
• Black outer layer contains carbon black to enhance
outdoor life and ensure total light deprivation.
• Heavy scrim and diamond reinforcement placed
between plies greatly enhances tear resistance and
increases service life
