Construction
• Super-structure components are made of aluminum
structural shapes

Aluminum, peak-roof SL Series greenhouses are ideal for research,
retailers and institutions needing a high-quality structure that will last
a very long time. This strong, versatile design is easily adapted to local
structural building codes throughout the country.
The flagship of Ludy’s, the SL Series is a low maintenance, aluminum
frame that can be customized to fit your needs. Trusses are made of
structural aluminum angles and tees and attached directly to I-beam
columns. The centerline of each member converges to a single point.
This design concept ensures the strongest house possible, with
significantly better resistance to side and downward stresses. Ludy
scrutinizes the entire design using the latest computerized structural
analysis software, and obtains the approval of independent engineers
to ensure the integrity of your houses.
The design’s flexibility enhances the inherent strength of the house.
Structural components are selected and sized to match your
environmental and load requirements. The house is available in many
different widths and sidewall heights. The SL is infinitely expandable.
When you choose an SL series, Ludy will design the house to meet
your local structural code, growing, retailing or research requirements.
Sizes
• Standard Widths: 18, 25, 32, 38, 42 and 50 feet
(5.49, 7.62, 9.75, 11.58, 12.80 and 15.24 m)
• Lengths: standard 10 or 12 feet (3.04, 3.65 m) bays; full length can
be any multiple of chosen bay size
• Sidewall: standard 8, 10 or 12 feet; higher sidewalls available
• Custom widths and lengths are available
