Urea 46-0-0<br />

After salt, Urea is probably the most<br />

commonly used deicer. A natural fertilizer,<br />

it is less corrosive than salt, and is safer<br />

for pets. Urea requires less clean-up than salt,<br />

however, it can be more damaging to plants<br />

than salt due to its high concentration that<br />

makes it effective as a deicer. Just like<br />

over-fertilizing can burn plants during the<br />

growing season.<br />
