Anti-Transpirant
Winter desiccation damage occurs when
the amount of water lost through foliage
exceeds the plant’s ability to take up
water through the roots. Exposure to
winter wind and sun increases the rate
of water lost through transpiration,
robbing the plant of essential leaf
moisture needed for survival.
• LeafShield provides safe and
effective protection against
desiccation injury. It forms a
protective barrier that seals leaf
stomata to reduce moisture loss.
It dries to a thin, waxy layer that
protects foliage without discoloration.
• Safe to use on all plant types, including
blue sprue and other sensitive varieties.
• Leafshield is freezable, however.
Rates of Application: Nursery - use 4-8 oz. per gallon of water.

substantially reducing water loss during periods of stress
• Dries to form a clear, odorless protective coating without
interfering with plant growth or affecting respiration, osmosis, or
photosynthesis
• Organic, biodegradable, and non-hazardous
• Safe, non-toxic to eyes and skin, and meets FDA standards for
spraying on edible crops
• Year round plant protector that can be used for the

• Wilt-Pruf will turn Blue Spruce green temporarily for
approximately 2-3 hours
• Wilt-Pruf may be sprayed with any pressure type trombone,
pump or power sprayer except hose end. Hose end sprayers will
not produce the proper mixture of concentrate and water
