catalog. The Hummert horticultural supply catalog started with a 16-page pamphlet in 1935 and has
been expanding ever since. The Hummert catalog has become an industry standard with products

In 1935, the “Original Heidelberg Cylinder” was unveiled
(left). Together with the platen press, this printing press
was one of the most successful presses of its time. The
OHC printed early Hummert Seed Co. catalogs.
Today, the Baker-Perkins G-14 (right)is an 8 unit, up to 16
plate, heat-set, double web press. Capable of printing up
to a 38 inch roll with a 22.8375 inch cut-off. The press can
deliver 32 page, 4-color, folded signatures at 31,000 units
an hour.This press printed our 2018-2019 catalog.
