Seed Counters<br />

Model 850-3<br />

This Lot Size System is used for packeting by count. The number of<br />

packets to be produced and the count per packet can be selected<br />

using its numeric keypad. Computer control allows coordination with<br />

other external systems (multiple units may be interconnected into<br />

systems for multi-part kit packaging) as well as interfacing with an<br />

external computer through an RS-232 link for data interchange.<br />

Software control also permits easy program updating to<br />

accommodate new accessories and operating modes, there by<br />

eliminating obsolescence.<br />

The System consists of (1) a Model 850-3 Counter Control, (2) a<br />

Counting Head (Lot Size type with In-Transit Diverter) and Head<br />

Support mounted on system base plate,<br />

(3) a Vibratory Feeder mounted on a Quick Empty<br />

Stand, (4) a Feeder Bowl mounted on the vibratory<br />

feeder to feed seeds into the counting head, and<br />

(5) a Dual Packeting Chute with Packet Sensing,<br />

which holds packets in place for filling.<br />

Model U<br />

Packeting programs can be loaded into the counter by different<br />

means. The unit will not begin packeting unless the bar code of the<br />

packets is the same with that indicated by the data base residing in<br />

the counter.<br />

The System consists of the Model U Counter<br />

Control Unit, Bar Code Reader and<br />

items 2,3,4, and 5 listed for the<br />

Model 850-3 Counter System.<br />

Model 900-2<br />

This Lot Size System is specialized to allow Program Packeting where<br />

various groups of packets are to be produced from the same product lot.<br />

From 1 to 50 groups may be selected, each group having a selected<br />

number of packets and count per packet.<br />

Other than the Packet Program feature, the unit is similar in operation<br />

to the Model 850-3 including the RS-232 link for external data linkage<br />

and system upgrading and updating. Both units may also be used for<br />

total counting.<br />

The System consists of the Model 900-2 Counter<br />

Control Unit and items 2,3,4, and 5 listed for<br />

the Model 850-3.<br />
