Part 1
Parte 1
The parameters that manage the final
performance of a frequency speed control
device (hereafter, inverter) can be divided into
four categories.
1. Motor data: lets the inverter know exactly
what type of motor it will interface with (e.g.,
rated power, rated current, poles, no-load
current, nominal speed, encoder etc.) and can
be found on motor nameplates and data sheets.
2. System data: the parameters we decide to set
in terms of system movements (e.g., operation
and maintenance speed, acceleration and
deceleration ramps, jerk etc.)
3. Inverter/board/motor sequence timings:
define the timings for brake activation and
deactivation, delivery and interruption
of power to the motor, and movement start
and stop; these are generally fairly constant
values depending on the type of board and
inverter.
4. Regulator gains: these are motor tuning
parameters for the desired speed and/or
position tracking profiles. They represent the
true difficulty in tuning and change depending
on the inverter model and from motor to motor.
We often proceed sequentially
and by experience, searching for the right
compromise.
What are the gains?
achieve (black curve); compared to this, the actual
I parametri che gestiscono la performance finale
di un dispositivo di regolazione della velocità in
frequenza (da qui in poi inverter) sono divisibili
essenzialmente in quattro categorie.
1. Dati motore: dicono esattamente all’inverter con
che tipo di motore dovrà interfacciarsi (es. potenza
nominale, corrente nominale, poli, corrente a vuoto,
giri nominali, encoder etc.) e sono reperibili sulle
targhe motori e sulle schede tecniche.
2. Dati impianto: sono i parametri che decidiamo
di fissare in termini di moto dell’impianto (es.
velocità di regime e di manutenzione, rampe di
accelerazione e decelerazione, jerk etc.).
3. Tempistiche sequenze inverter/quadro/
motore: definiscono le tempistiche di attivazione
e disattivazione del freno, dell’erogazione e
dell’interruzione della corrente al motore, della
partenza e arresto del movimento; sono valori
generalmente abbastanza costanti in base al tipo
di quadro e inverter.
