A sad loss for UN.I.O.N., Unione Italiana
Organismi Notificati e Abilitati (which brings
together Notified and Approved Bodies of
different sizes, interests and product types,
operating in the sector of certification and
inspection): on 26 January 2023 President
Iginio Salvatore Lentini passed away. The sad
news comes from the association he founded
in 2001, of which he was President for over 20
years. The entire editorial
staff of Elevatori Magazine
sends its condolences
to his family and to the
association for the loss
of an expert who often
appeared in our pages with
his articles. In March, the
Board of Directors will meet
to appoint the successor as
President.

Organismi di diverse dimensioni, interessi
e tipologia di prodotti, operanti nel campo
della certificazione e ispezione): il 26 gennaio
2023 si è spento il Presidente Iginio Salvatore
Lentini. Ne dà la triste notizia l’associazione
da lui stesso fondata nel 2001, di cui è
stato Presidente per oltre 20 anni. Tutta la
redazione di Elevatori
Magazine si stringe attorno
alla famiglia e a UN.I.O.N.
per la perdita di un esperto
che più volte è intervenuto
con i suoi articoli sulle
nostre pagine.
Nel mese di marzo,
si riunirà il Consiglio
Direttivo per nominare il
successore alla presidenza.
COMPANIES AND NON-FINANCIAL
REPORTING
The way companies communicate their results
is changing. In addition to the traditional
financial statements, there are a number of
other documents that it is possible, and for
some mandatory, to present and that contain
non-financial data. In order to take stock of
reporting tools, the 1 st Conference ‘Italian
Best Practices in Non-Financial Reporting’
organised by
Fondazione OIBR
(Organismo
Italiano di Business
Reporting) in
collaboration
with AssoBenefit
(an association
representing Benefit
Societies in Italy)
was held on 19
January 2023 at the
Catholic University of Milan. The conference
delved into the best practices of non-financial
reporting, a corporate balance sheet made
of qualitative (instead of numerical) data
concerning social activity, environmental and
social respect, and governance. Non-financial
reporting can take different forms depending
on the type of company: Non-financial
Declaration - DNF (mandatory for listed
companies that meet certain requirements),
Integrated Reporting - IR (a single document
that contains both financial and non-financial
data), Annual Impact Report (which concerns
Benefit Companies).
AZIENDE E RENDICONTAZIONE NON
FINANZIARIA
Per le aziende sta cambiando il modo
di comunicare i propri risultati. Oltre al
tradizionale bilancio, esistono una serie di
altri documenti che è possibile, e per alcuni
obbligatorio, presentare e che contengono dati
non finanziari. Per fare il punto sugli strumenti
per la rendicontazione, il 19 gennaio 2023 si è
tenuta all’Università Cattolica di Milano la 1°
Conferenza ‘Le best
practices italiane
di informazione
non finanziaria’
organizzata da
Fondazione OIBR
(Organismo
Italiano di Business
Reporting) in
collaborazione
con AssoBenefit
(associazione che rappresenta le Società Benefit
in Italia). La conferenza ha approfondito
le migliori prassi di rendicontazione non
finanziaria, un bilancio aziendale fatto di dati
qualitativi (invece che numerici) che riguardano
l’attività sociale, il rispetto all’ambiente e del
sociale, la governance. La rendicontazione
non finanziaria può avere forme diverse a
seconda del tipo di società: Dichiarazione non
finanziaria - DNF (obbligatoria per le aziende
quotate che rispondono a determinati requisiti),
Reporting integrato - IR (un unico documento
che contiene sia i dati finanziari che quelli non
finanziari), Relazione Annuale d’impatto (che
riguarda le Società Benefit).
