Having faced unexpected events and circumstances,
humanity is compelled to come to terms with the
reality that we are not the sole inhabitants of this
planet. The premise sparks a dialogue on sustainability
and environmental awareness in architectural
design, as it centers on envisioning a future world
through design.
Located in the vibrant Bangna suburb of Bangkok,
along the route to Thailand’s bustling eastern
economic corridor, stands the remarkable AIA East
Gateway Building. The architecture is notable for its
grand scale, skillfully utilizing its prime location along
the main road with its unique structural proportions.
The AIA East Gateway Building is designed by
Creative Crews. The project, which showcases a
meticulously curated collection of retail and office
spaces, consists of the main tower, which accommodates
rentable office spaces, and the commercial
quarter, which occupies the spaces on the first to
fourth floors. The fifth floor is home to a range of
recreational amenities, including a state-of-the-art
fitness center, while the fourth and fifth floors
incorporate semi-outdoor spaces, enabling effective
natural ventilation. The architectural composition
of the building consists of two distinct masses:
the tower and the podium of the parking structure.
The two masses are thoughtfully designed to
ensure clear separation from the adjacent structure,
achieved through the implementation of a distinct
column system. The column span commences at
a range of 1.75 meters before gradually expanding
to its complete extent. The system is integrated
throughout the entire building.
