และบางที เราอาจจะเรียนรู้ได้จากแถลงการณ์ด้านความยั่งยืน<br />
(Sustainability Manifesto) เมื่อปี 2562 ของ Foster +<br />
Partners ที่ระบุว่าบริษัท “เชื่อมั่นมาอย่างยาวนาน ในการ<br />
ออกแบบที่บูรณาการเป็นองค์รวม และเคารพต่อความต้องการ<br />
ทั้งของผู้คนและของโลก” สองคำ าสำาคัญที่มีความหมายอย่างยิ่ง<br />
คือ “ความเป็นองค์รวม” และ “ความเคารพ” เราจำาเป็นต้องมี<br />
สองคำานี้ในแนวคิดและแนวปฏิบัติของเรา เราควรบูรณาการ<br />
ธรรมชาติเข้ากับสถาปัตยกรรมแบบองค์รวม เราควรคำ านึงถึง<br />
กระบวนการก่อสร้างแบบเป็นองค์รวม คือตั้งแต่ต้นจนจบ ไปจน<br />
ถึงการดำารงอยู่ของอาคารเมื่อเวลาผ่านไป เราควรเคารพต่อ<br />
พลังแห่งธรรมชาติ อย่างแสงอาทิตย์และสายลม และออกแบบ<br />
สถาปัตยกรรมให้สอดคล้องกับพลังของธรรมชาตินั้น ๆ เรา<br />
ควรเคารพต่อระบบนิเวศที่อยู่มาก่อนหน้าเรา เคารพทรัพยากร<br />
ที่เรามีอยู่แล้ว พิจารณาว่าสามารถปรับปรุงอะไรได้ แทนที่จะ<br />
ทำาลายและเริ่มใหม่จากศูนย์ และเราควรเคารพและทำ างานแบบ<br />
องค์รวมร่วมกับสาขาวิชาอื่น ๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็น นักนิเวศวิทยา<br />
ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านดิน อาสาสมัครหมู่บ้าน หรือแม่บ้านในชนบท<br />
และด้วยทัศนคตินี้ ไม่ว่าโครงการออกแบบจะมีขนาดเท่าใด<br />
ก็ตาม เราทุกคนก็สามารถมีส่วนร่วมในอนาคตสีเขียวได้<br />

tion, from start to finish, to how the building<br />
might sustain over time. We shall respect the<br />
force of nature: the sun and the winds and design<br />
accordingly. We shall respect the ecology that<br />
comes before us; the existing resources we have<br />
and see what we can improve instead of starting<br />
over. And we shall respect and work holistically<br />
with other disciplines: ecologists, soil experts,<br />
rural women to name a few. And with this frame<br />
of mind, regardless of the scale of the projects,<br />
we all can contribute to the green future.<br />
