Concerning the water tower’s structure, the design
team initially attempted to locate construction plans
for the original tower but was unsuccessful due to
the tower’s antiquity as a structure. As a result, an
inspection of the building’s condition is required.
A group of civil engineers from the Samut Sakhon
Municipality assisted them with the evaluation, which
prompted the suggestion that a steel structure be
added to the original reinforced concrete structure.
Since the initial structure was intended to support
the weight of large volumes of water, it is acceptable
to incorporate the steel structure into the old
structure in order to calculate the forces that can
be applied to the new structure. Consequently, the
design and engineering groups agreed to fabricate
a steel framework within the void created by the
initial reinforced concrete column of the water tower.

The community members reached a consensus that the fishing
boat constitutes the unique identifier of Tha Chalom; the essence
and beating heart of Tha Chalom are the boats. In light of this, the
design team devised a method for disassembling the ship’s sedan
to accommodate the water tower’s original structure. This involved
considering the shape and size of the openings and the proportion
of the actual boat’s cabin.
