รางวัล Design Excellence Award (DEmark) ริเริ่มโดย<br />
กรมส่งเสริมการค้าระหว่างประเทศ กระทรวงพาณิชย์<br />
มาตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2551 เพื่อเปิดโอกาสให้นักออกแบบ<br />
และผู้ประกอบการไทย ได้แสดงผลงานสินค้าไทยที่มี<br />
การออกแบบดีสู่ตลาดโลก ซึ่งได้รับการสนับสนุนอย่างดี<br />
จากองค์กรภาครัฐและเอกชนของประเทศญี่ปุ่น 2 องค์กร<br />
คือ องค์การส่งเสริมการค้าต่างประเทศของญี่ปุ่น และ<br />
สถาบันส่งเสริมการออกแบบแห่งประเทศญี่ปุ่น โดยสนับสนุน<br />
ทั้งส่งผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการออกแบบจากประเทศญี่ปุ่น<br />
เข้าร่วมเป็นคณะกรรมการตัดสินรางวัล และให้ความร่วมมือ<br />
ในด้านอื่น ๆ เพื่อให้รางวัลได้มาตรฐานในระดับสากล<br />
มาโดยตลอด<br />
The Design Excellence Award (DEmark) was<br />
initiated by the Department of International Trade<br />
Promotion (DITP) under the Ministry of Commerce<br />
in 2008 to provide opportunities for designers and<br />
Thai entrepreneurs to showcase Thai products with<br />
good designs to the world market. It has been well<br />
supported by two public and private organizations<br />
in Japan: the Japan External Trade Organization<br />
(JETRO) and the Japan Institute of Design Promotion<br />
(JDP), by supporting and sending design<br />
experts from Japan to join the award judging committee<br />
and cooperate in other areas so that the<br />
awards are always up to international standards.<br />
