ออกแบบในมุมไบ ประเทศอินเดีย ผลิตกระเบื้อง
จาก “คาร์บอนแบล็ค” ซึ่งเป็นของเสียที่เกิดจาก
การเผาเชื้อเพลิงฟอสซิล โดยจะใช้ของเสียที่
บริษัทต่าง ๆ ต้องทำาเป็นวัตถุดิบ ในระหว่าง
กระบวนการทางอุตสาหกรรม สิ่งเหล่านี้จะ
ถูกทิ้งหรือเผามากยิ่งขึ้น โครงการสร้างสรรค์
ที่นำาโดยสถาปนิก Tejas Sidnal ใช้เทคโนโลยี
และงานฝีมือเพื่อเปลี่ยนของเสียนี้ให้กลายเป็น

Carbon Craft Design, a team of architects
and designers based in Mumbai,
utilizes the unavoidable secondary
outputs of various businesses as the
primary substance to manufacture tiles
composed of “carbon black,” a residual
substance produced from burning fossil
fuels. In the industrial process, this
material is disposed of or incinerated.
Architect Tejas Sidnal’s pioneering
project employs technology and skilled
artistry to reuse this byproduct, halting
its combustion and transforming it into
a decorative component. The tiles are
manufactured through molding, trimming,
and blending carbon black with
cement. The art of producing cement
tiles has a history that spans two cen
turies. The production procedure was
determined with the participation of
local craftspeople. The outcome is a
financially feasible product that repurposes
discarded materials and strengthens
the artisan community.
