Rammed earth, a building technique comparable
to cast concrete wall construction, is employed
for the construction of the walls of the villas and
the restaurant. The earth used for the project
was sourced from the area around the weir inside
the property, causing the hue to be less of the
orange tone that most people are accustomed to
but rather a more natural earth tone that blends
in wonderfully with the surrounding environment.
The most difficult aspect of this method was
preparing the entire operation, from the working
drawings to the possible on-site problems,
allowing for on-site adjustments and solutions
to be possible.

Each villa’s roof structure is entirely made of steel.
Given the nature of the rammed earth walls, which
are required and built to sustain the weight of the
roof, the details are challenging and elaborate.
The complicated construction of the arched steel
structure was achieved through the use of a prefabricated
prototype, which was then erected on
site before the process was repeated with the other
villas. All of the roofs are made of the shingle roof
material, which provides longevity and efficient
