6 6.12 Trip-less intensification Mandatory 6.12.1 Auto-restart (Restart of coasting motor) : Auto-restart control selection Caution F-34 E6581381 • Stand clear of motors and mechanical equipment If the motor stops due to a momentary power failure, the equipment will start suddenly when power is restored. This could result in unexpected injury. • Attach warnings about sudden restart after a momentary power failure on inverters, motors and equipment for prevention of accidents in advance. • Function The parameter detects the rotating speed and rotational direction of the motor during coasting ing the event of momentary power failure, and then after power haas been restored, restarts the motor smoothly (motor speed search function). This parameter also allows commercial power operation to be switched to inverter operation without stopping the motor. During operation, "" is displayed. This function is useful especially when the motor is not operated by the inverter but it is running because of external force. Warning!! • At restart, it takes about 300 ms for the inverter to check to see the number of revolutions of the motor. For this reason, the start-up takes more time than usual. • Use this function when operating a system with one motor connected to one inverter. This function may not operate properly in a system configuration with multiple motors connected to one inverter. 6
