Because customers may be located far apart along the feeder,<br />

splice enclosures may be located in aerial or underground<br />

environments. In this scenario, one cable may be divided into a<br />

number of fibers going to different directions. Some typical feeder<br />

cable distances can extend up to 30,000 ft. (10 km).<br />
