287. All the tenses of the subjunctive mood usually employ<br />

one of the conjunctions a\^j (ranga), j,5JL) (bashkam),<br />

l»JOi dashkam), or ^SSj (balki), which all mean 'perhaps',<br />

to emphasize the 'intentional' or 'dubitive' sense. Examples:<br />

l»j y>) A\jj (ranga amin b-(i)m) 'I may be' (lit. 'perhaps I<br />

may be') (_jj y\ 4Xij (ranga atii b-i) 'thou mayest be' (lit.<br />

'perhaps thou mayest be'), etc.<br />

288. Conditional sentences are formed by employing the<br />

conjunction y | (agar) 'if. Examples : j iJU y\ y\<br />

»ii y 4) LjJ^^JD (agar atii chak b-i, katebeki ba tii dadam)<br />

'if you (sing.) be good, I shall give you a book'; y |<br />

^y ^1 ^, e^J ^'l (agar ango lera b-(i)n, amin na-<br />

tirs-(i)m) 'if you be here, I shall not fear', etc.<br />

289. Conclusive clauses are usually introduced by one of<br />

the conjunction 43 (ka), ll* hata), or^) bb (hatakii), which<br />

all mean 'that', so that', 'in order that'. Examples<br />

j»j ^^1 45 ^li ^ (kie dal-len ka amin b-(i)m) 'who do they<br />

say that I may be?'; (^ -j p \Ia oyda ^ jXi> jl (aii<br />

sanirakai halgr-a hatakii rahat b-i) 'take this pillow so that<br />

you (sing) may be comfortable'.<br />

290. Necessitative sentences are formed by employing the<br />

auxiliary ji (dabe) 'must'. Examples: j^ ojŞ ji jljl<br />

(awan dabe lera b-(i)n) 'they must be here';j Ijji (dabe<br />

wa be) 'it must be so'.<br />

291. When employed with the conjunction 4J (ka), the
