Compound Verbs<br />

335. A very large number of 'compound verbs' are formed<br />

in Kurdish by combining a noun or an adjective with a<br />

number of auxiliary verbs. (See 192, 4), These verbs are<br />

either transitive or intransitive, and are used both in the<br />

'active' and in the 'passive' voice, just like any other verbs.<br />

The verbs most frequently employed as auxiliaries in form¬<br />

ing compounds are the following :<br />
