168 A PRACTICAL KURDISH GRAMMAR Compound Verbs 335. A very large number of 'compound verbs' are formed in Kurdish by combining a noun or an adjective with a number of auxiliary verbs. (See 192, 4), These verbs are either transitive or intransitive, and are used both in the 'active' and in the 'passive' voice, just like any other verbs.
