A List of Compound Verbs in Common Use<br />

340. It happens very often that one Kurdish dialect em¬<br />

ploys a simple verb where another dialect employs a com¬<br />

pound verb, and vice versa. It is therefore impossible to give<br />

a complete list of compound verbs. In fact, there is no limit<br />

to compound verbs in Kurdish. The following list contains<br />

a number of combinations that are in common use. For the<br />

imperative forms, see 335.<br />
