(sat ba chûar) '4%'; t^ 4) X^ (sat ba penj) '5%', etc. And<br />

in this connection the Ji.^may also be written ^Ji^ (sati).<br />

Distributives<br />

155. The distributive numbers in Kurdish are formed by<br />

employing the cardinals in pairs, with or without using the<br />

preposition ai (ba) 'by', or the prepositional suffix 4 (a)<br />

'to', as a connective. Examples: dl dl (yek yek),dl 4) dli<br />

(yek ba yek), or dl 4^ (yek-a yek) 'one by one'; j^ j:><br />

(dii dû), or ji (do ba do) 'two by two'; Ojî^ C'»>'<br />

(jut jtit), or Cjy^Ai Cjy>-(jût ba jut) 'pair by pair' ; ^-d- ^<br />

(se se), or ^^ Ai ^^ (se ba se) 'three by three', etc.<br />
