3085 Playing and Building: Caxixi Toy Library esperiences at the MaréRJ CIEPs

This work aims to systematize the accounts on activities performed
at the Caxixi Toy Library and relate them to the importance of play in
education, having as a bibliographic reference the book “Game, toy,
play and education”, organized by Tizuko M. Kishimoto. Caxixi Toy Library
receives about 650 children in kindergarten and the first year
of elementary school in the Complexo da Maré, through the Criança
Petrobrás program, a realization of the organization Maré Development
Networks civil society, in partnership with the Rio de Janeiro City
Department of Education and the CIEPS teachers, located in areas of
urban violence and little space for sports and playing. Convinced that
playing can be a great ally in the processes of learning, sociability and
environmental awareness, the Toy Library makes use of recycled and
handmade toys and seeks to recall games and songs from the popular
culture. Intends to include play in the classroom, as a pedagogic strategy,
and to verify if the toy library, by enhancing the environmental
awareness and popular culture, can be considered as an important and
unique space in Maré’s ludic experiences. Therefore, analyses are applied,
of the experience reports made by the toy librarians, teachers and
students, during classes and the toy construction workshop activities.
3047 “Labrinca”: Place for valorization of the child ludic culture

LABRINCA (Toys Laboratory of the Application College), inaugurated
in 2003, results from a project of University Extension developed in
partnership with the courses of Pedagogy, Physical Education, Library
Science, Psychology and Architecture in UFSC. Intends to research,
experiment, file and discuss the uses of games, toys and play in the
early grades of elementary school. In this process, the articulation between
teaching, research and extension is focused (attendance during
class time and in alternative hours to the CA students, visits from other
schools, training activities, etc.). Besides the CA students and teachers,

teachers from the municipal schools of Santa Luz–Bahia

This experience report, performed by an educator from the program
of training teachers in the city schools of Santa Luz-Bahia, focuses on
studying the Ludic and the preparation of toy librarians. This program
aims to promote the comprehension of the ludic from the conceptual,
historical, educative and psychological points of view, as a resource for
self-knowledge and as an enhancer of the educational work, and considers
the ludic dimension to be inherent in the living beings, revealing:
1] the relations that the human beings, especially children and youngsters,
have with the world, 2] the way they deal with emotions and
affection, 3] the structures that are being consolidated, 4] the way they

know more about it through the Let’s Meet UFSC Project. It has support
from monitors, students awarded with non-obligatory scholarships,
in charge of assisting those who visit and attend, looking forward to
observe and register the experiences in the toy library. A greater integration
has been observed of the contents on infancyludicityplay in
different disciplines of the various graduation courses involved and the
increase of production and scientific promotion of the subject.
