Gas connections
B21 Type (for ovens with thermal power > 14kW): exhaust gases are released outside by means of a
cooker hood. The cooker hood should be positioned at least 50 cm away from the ventilation switch: if positioned
too near, it may cause an excessive drop in pressure when the ventilation switch is activated, which
could draw a greater amount of gas inside the burner; this in turn could lead to explosions and the production
of toxic unburnt gas.
Caution!
To ensure that the standard appliance settings correspond to the actual connection conditions, the first time
the appliance is operated it will be necessary to perform an analysis of the burner exhaust gases, steam and
hot air (CO, CO2), recording the measured values on the appliance.
If the undiluted CO value is greater than 1000 ppm, the burner setting should be checked and, if necessary,
adjusted by a technician authorised by the company, in accordance with the setting instructions.
min. 500 mm
Caution!
We recommend a flue cover is installed on top of the external end of the flue, to prevent rainwater from
getting into the oven and to minimise pressure drops caused by the Venturi effect, which can occur when the
flue is subject to strong outside air currents.
Combustion gas exhaust type selection must take place in accordance with the provisions set out by local
legislation relating to the installation of gas appliances.
All ovens are fitted with a wind-resistant flue, which is built into the combustion gas exhaust circuit and is
activated in the event of an obstruction or if an unusual draught occurs: this flue is an integral part of the oven
and should never be removed.
Caution!
The temperature of the exhaust gases may exceed 500°C.
Given the high temperature of the exhaust gas, the exhaust gas piping must not be made using aluminium or
any materials which cannot withstand temperatures up to 200°C.
Caution!
Exhaust piping must be inspected and approved by a specialist, in compliance with current local regulations
and standards.
It is recommended that written documentation is issued after the inspection has been completed.
