The career that the three members of ABL<br />
Automazione have been sharing since 1982 reached<br />
a milestone in 1994, when the company based on<br />
the outskirts of Brescia was founded. A business<br />
that is still a major Italian player in the design and<br />
manufacturing of assembly and testing systems.<br />
The importance of relying on<br />
a trustworthy technical department<br />
“Today ABL Automazione designs and creates<br />
machines for customers worldwide”, begins president<br />
Giancarlo Bernuzzi. “Our business has 40 staff<br />
members and our technical department includes 11<br />
mechanical engineers and designers and 6 electrical<br />
engineers. As never before, these figures, which we<br />
train so that they know the peculiarities of our world,<br />
that of assembly machines, need to be able to work<br />
together, continually exchanging views with others”.<br />
This is why ABL Automazione does not rely on<br />
external technical offices, which, according to<br />
Mr Bernuzzi, “can be good when manufacturing<br />
standard products, but we work exclusively on special<br />
machines: without proper training it is not possible,<br />

al settore della rubinetteria.<br />
Altri esempi li menziona Giancarlo Bernuzzi. “Nell’automotive<br />
abbiamo realizzato linee robotizzate di assemblaggio<br />
e collaudo di pompe acqua, sia meccaniche<br />
che elettriche, o di componenti per la<br />
filtrazione. Abbiamo anche lavorato per il settore<br />
truck, con oltre 30 linee per l’assemblaggio dei bilancieri<br />
per i motori diesel”.<br />
Non mancano, nella storia dell’azienda bresciana,<br />
anche progetti per applicazioni meno usuali. “Grazie<br />
anche a una collaborazione con l’Università di<br />
Firenze, che ha studiato uno speciale tipo di colla<br />
dosata a caldo, abbiamo realizzato impianti per<br />
l’assemblaggio dei box doccia basati su una concezione<br />
innovativa: se, infatti, prima la struttura meccanica<br />
del pannello era costituita solo dai profili,<br />
adesso anche il vetro diventa parte della struttura,<br />
proprio grazie al particolare incollaggio, che deve<br />
resistere all’acqua calda, al vapore, al detersivo. Un<br />
altro settore particolare è quello dell’assemblaggio<br />
e collaudo delle valigie militari. Si tratta di valigie<br />
