individual projects. We entrust the manufacturing of
the system components to tested external partners,
but the assembly, wiring, software development and
application, as well as the final testing of the systems,
are all followed internally. We think that this is the best
way to ensure the highest quality to our customers”.
The ability to adapt to
the needs of several sectors
The history of ABL Automazione includes many
projects in many different fields of application. For
example, assembly and testing machines for gas
meters, on order of one of the most important players
worldwide, or assembly lines for water meters, or,
using an industry that is extraordinarily widespread in
Brescia, production of systems for the faucet industry.
Giancarlo Bernuzzi cites other examples. “In the
automotive industry, we have created robotic
assembly and testing lines for water pumps,
both mechanical and electrical, or for filtration
components. We have also worked for the truck
industry, with over 30 lines for the assembly of rocker
arms for diesel engines”.
The history of the company from Brescia also includes
projects for more unusual applications.
“Thanks to a partnership with the University of
Florence, which studied a special type of hot glue,
we have developed systems for the assembly of walkin
showers based on an innovative concept: while
the mechanical structure of the panel was made only
of the profiles, now the glass also becomes part of
the structure, thanks to the particular bonding, which
must be resistant to hot water, steam, detergent.
Another particular sector is the assembly and testing
of military bags. These bags must pass a special
leak test, a difficult task in which we specialize. This
test ensures that there is no water penetration from
outside, and that the bags themselves, just because
they are used for military purposes, can withstand
extreme conditions”.
The advantage of being Italian
The ability to adapt to different sectors, which
means designing systems very different from each
other, with various levels of automation, is essential
to understand the needs of different markets. ABL
Automazione works with both Italian and foreign
customers. Russia, Brazil, Turkey, India, and China are
just some of the markets explored over the years.
“Thanks to the incentives recently promoted by
the government, the Italian market is more vibrant
than a few years ago”, adds Alessandro Torsoli.

“Anche grazie alle misure di incentivo promosse di
recente dal governo, il mercato italiano è più vivace
rispetto a qualche anno fa”, aggiunge Alessandro
Torsoli. “Nel contatto con i clienti esteri, il fatto
di essere riconosciuti come costruttori italiani è
certamente un fattore di vantaggio: preparazione,
conoscenza e flessibilità sono caratteristiche che ci
