Mr Michele
and technical
manager of TMP
Engineering.
need only for streamlined, wasteless processes, but also
for ergonomically configured workplaces that enable
employees to work efficiently.
Ergonomics increases value creation and reduces waste.
Motivated employees ensure greater productivity and
better quality.
How does TMP Engineering feel about Industry 4.0? Do
you think of it as an opportunity for Italian manufacturing
or a bubble that will deflate?
Robotics, mechatronics and vision systems have their
own independent interest in what the industrial policies
have made available in the past. Of course, industrial
policy instruments are clearly a way to speed up
technological renewal processes, which otherwise would
take much longer, and our country cannot afford it.
The main risk when adopting such solutions is to create
speculative bubbles that could ultimately deflate.
However, I am convinced that, in this case, the process
will be radical and of evolutionary nature, surely the time
of application will be longer than the marketing “system”
wants us to believe.
As a machinery and system manufacturer, TMP
Engineering is both promoter and user of Industry 4.0.
What is the company’s position in this dual role? And how
does all this affect machine design?
Our company uses and makes available Industry 4.0
solutions and systems on our machines, in order to ensure
our customers an ever-evolving production headed
towards smart manufacturing. For a manufacturer of
custom automated systems,
producing systems in a 4.0
perspective means essentially
no longer redesigning a system
from scratch but thinking of
modular, reconfigurable and
adaptable systems. In this way
we achieve customization
through standardization. They
might look like two opposite
forces, but it is actually
the balance between the
two of them that brings
efficiency and thinking in a 4.0
perspective.
Today, machine
manufacturers are between
a rock and a hard place: on
one hand, customers push for
Industry 4.0 solutions - often
without even figuring out
exactly what they mean
I dipendenti motivati assicurano
natura evolutiva, sicuramente i tempi applicativi saranno
credere.
Come costruttore di macchine e impianti, TMP Engineering
è sia promotore che utilizzatore di Industria 4.0. Come
E tutto ciò come
impianti automatizzati custom, realizzare impianti in ottica
in ottica 4.0.
“Industria 4.0” - spesso senza neanche definire cosa intendano
esattamente -, dall’altro i fornitori di componentistica
per automazione hanno appena iniziato a proporre
soluzioni in chiave 4.0, spesso con costi ancora troppo
alti.
soprattutto, progettare e integrare queste nuove soluzioni.
Abbiamo già assistito negli ultimi dieci anni
a una profonda radicalizzazione del software sul-
