Lighthouse Plants, the Factories of the Future<br />
“The Smart Factory in the Industry 4.0 National Plan”<br />
is the title of the workshop organized by the Smart<br />
Factory Italian Technology Cluster on February 21 st<br />
at Politecnico di Milano. This event allowed the<br />
protagonists of the Italian manufacturing industry<br />
to get together and discuss, among other things,<br />
about the Lighthouse Plants, production facilities<br />
equipped with enabling technologies for the<br />
smart manufacturing, which are interconnected,<br />
intelligent and capable to communicate<br />
with each other.<br />
The Smart Factory Cluster (CFI) keeps on growing.<br />
This institution brings together companies,<br />
universities, research centres, associations and local<br />
authorities with the aim of promoting the growth<br />
of the manufacturing sector in Italy through digital<br />
innovation.<br />
Last February 21 st , Politecnico di Milano hosted the<br />
first workshop organized by the CFI to talk about<br />
