preventiva?
operando a fornirgliele.
ottica di life cycle management dell’impianto.
fabbrica digitalizzata?
I prossimi mesi saranno sicuramente
fondamentali per capire la bontà della manovra
messa in campo governo.
- on the other hand, automation
component suppliers have just
begun to offer 4.0 solutions, often at
too high costs. It must be clear that
there cannot be a 4.0 machine if
the components you are using do
not evolve as well, providing more
functions and connections with
external systems. Another issue to
consider is the staff training process,
which should not only use, but first
and foremost design and integrate
these new solutions. Over the last
decade, we have already witnessed
a profound software radicalization
on our machines, to the point of
becoming the true heart of the
machine. This also implies the evolution
of the professional profiles required to
create this type of machines.
What can a system manufacturer do
to help the user implement preventive
maintenance concepts?
With Industry 4.0 the operator will still be important, but,
using their expertise, they will be able to focus more on
value-added activities, as they are better supported by
digital technologies on two basic functions: first of all, the
conversion of data into information on the machinery
state of health with intelligence techniques and systems
distributed throughout the entire factory management
and maintenance system, starting from the sensorization
of machinery. Then, providing data at the right time
in the right place, avoiding that the maintenance
operator has to “find” information; on the contrary, it is
the “context” in which they are working to provide them.
Industry 4.0 technologies will support this transformation:
playing with slogans, we can say that you will move
from TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) to Smart TPM.
Of course, by doing so, the traditional TPM pillars will be
strengthened, releasing the predictive maintenance
and data management potential also in the perspective
of the system lifecycle management. For example, we
are working on an advanced maintenance software
“package” to be offered on our machines for monitoring
the operating conditions of all critical machine
components.
Today, how much are customers interested in the
digitized factory? Have you seen a greater attention
since the government incentives entered into force?
We have noticed a renewed interest; we do not know
how much this is linked to Industry 4.0 and how much,
