The decision was originally announced in April at the same time the company had decided to centralise its German operations from Düsseldorf to Frankfurt, as well as bringing a division that had previously been located in the Netherlands to Germany. Justine Figura – PR manager for LG Electronics Germany told IFA International that the company would be concentrating more on in-car electronics. In a statement, the company also said it would be developing digital signage, solar and lighting products. The central location in Europe, will, says the company, provide excellent connections and an outstanding infrastructure enabling European employees to be closer to the markets they serve Access to IFA Global Markets is restricted to trade visitors only, providing international distributors in particular with a useful additional opportunity to meet potential suppliers and partners in the consumer electronics and home appliances sectors face to face. The event will take place at STATION-Berlin at Gleisdreieck and can be reached directly via IFA shuttles from the main exhibition grounds, the airport, and selected Berlin hotels.
