In the run-up to the industry’s most important sales season, the high order volumes seen in Berlin this year point to a strong and positive end-of-year business. IFA was also the showcase for numerous innovations and product launches, demonstrating that “IFA is and remains the ideal meeting place and market place for trade and industry," according to Hans- Joachim Kamp, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the IFA organiser, gfu Consumer & Home Electronics GmbH (pictured left). IFA IS AND REMAINS THE IDEAL MEETING PLACE AND MARKET PLACE FOR TRADE AND INDUSTRY Indeed, all indications point to record new orders stemming from the show, and an excellent outlook for Q4 – the strongest season of the year. Either being the case, our team of journalists set out around the “Funkturn” grounds to record for posterity what some of the top brands were doing at their stands. Indeed, while creativity is a must when it comes to designing products, it is just as important for those responsible for planning stand layout in such a way that the visitor gets the full story of the exhibitor. This year in particular, many stands demonstrated smart home ecosystems, while others displayed breath-taking new entertainment devices of all kinds – a feast for the eyes and the ears.
