ADVERTORIAL I SPECIAL FEATURE I HOME APPLIANCES I Liebherr: A range of stylish and sustainable innovations at IFA 2023 Liebherr-Hausgeräte is presenting its innovations at IFA this year under the motto, “Enter the circle of freshness” with the declared goal of offering high-quality products that minimise environmental impact throughout their entire life cycle Visitors to their stand will discover a range of products offering innovations in terms of energy efficiency, noise level, freshness technologies and smart convenience as well as design and customisation. Steffen Nagel, Managing Director Sales & Marketing at Liebherr-Hausgeräte GmbH, said about IFA this year: “We would like to show visitors to our IFA stand what we have already achieved and in which direction we are heading”. Liebherr-Hausgeräte is presenting a long list of innovative products this year, we’ve put together a few highlights but to get the full experience visitors should stop by their stand in its usual spot in hall 2.1. AIMING FOR THE LOWEST ENERGY CONSUMPTION POSSIBLE Liebherr freezer FNb 5056 is energy class B - the current highest for this segment With the increasing concern around energy consumption for consumers, energy ratings have become a key factor when choosing products, especially appliances. Liebherr- Hausgeräte is aiming to meet these requirements using different technologies that share one common goal: reducing electricity consumption as much as possible. In addition to the famous BluRoX technology, they are also using conventional insulation featuring durable vacuum insulation panels with silica that are integrated into the foam insulation. This design has allowed Liebherr to develop two freezers in the current highest energy efficiency class for this segment: class B. Alongside the FNb 5056 with a BluRoX door, the current highlight with conventional insulation is the FNb 4655 freestanding freezer – and from next year, its connected FNb 465i variant. The 145-cm-tall FNb 4655 is equipped with NoFrost, offers five drawers with integrated guides, EasyTwist-Ice, SpaceBox, EasyOpen, FrostProtect, LED lighting and many other features from the Liebherr Prime series. TAKING FRESHNESS TO THE NEXT LEVEL Liebherr BioFresh technology has been developed over decades and creates the perfect storage conditions to keep fresh food fresh for significantly longer, retaining vitamins and nutrients and reducing food waste significantly. Liebherr 75-cm-wide freestanding fridge-freezer, presented at IFA 2023 for the first time, is taking this freshness © Liebherr-Hausgeräte GmbH to a new level. Featuring the largest BioFresh safe ever in a freestanding appliance, it offers optimal space and storage conditions for fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and dairy products, while being big enough for large families or those who like to do a big weekend grocery shop. Despite its size, with InteriorFit it can still be elegantly and seamlessly fitted into a kitchen niche. CUSTOMISABLE AND ELEGANT WINE TEMPERING FRIDGES Liebherr is also presenting the newly launched portfolio of Vinidor wine tempering fridges this year. These meet the five conditions for perfect wine storage: temperature, humidity, protection against UV rays, protection against foreign odours and vibrationfree storage. Leibherr’s Vinidor wine tempering fridges also have up to three individually adjustable temperature zones. The wooden shelves, adapted to the sizes of bottles, are also flexible with the FlexFit feature, meaning even a Magnum bottle can be easily and safely stored. The new Vinidor series Vinidor wine tempering fridges offer up to three different temperature zones also includes the SommelierBoard; an elegant area with glass holders, decanting zone and utensil tray, designed specifically for presenting and handling wine Hall 2.1 / Stand 102 © Liebherr-Hausgeräte GmbH BluRoX: THE INSULATION REVOLUTION The groundbreaking BluRoX insulation technology made its world premiere at IFA last year, and this year it continues to be an integral part of Liebherr’s IFA exhibit. Rather than insulation foam, BluRoX technology uses a pure, full-vacuum body, stabilised with perlite. The raw material perlite, finely ground lava stone, is available in almost unlimited quantities in nature. Once a BluRoX appliance has reached the end of its service life, the perlite can be removed completely and reused without requiring significant processing. Additionally, since BluRoX insulation is not bonded to the surrounding components, the outer shell and inner container of the appliances can also be easily processed and reused. Appliances fully equipped with BluRoX do not have any integrated technical components as the compact technology module is located in the base of the BluRoX appliance in the form of a replaceable unit. This means they are much easier to repair. An appliance fully equipped with vacuum perlite technology also has thinner walls, making its cooling volume about 25 percent greater than that of conventionally insulated fridges and freezers with the same external dimensions. The FNb 5056, the first model featuring the patented BluRoX technology, was released on the German market this year.
