PHOTOMETRY: EVALUATION AND APPLICATION IN
CLINICAL LABORATORY
K. Ewald
Eppendorf, Netheler, Hinz GmbH
Photometers
Since 1949 photometers developed at Eppendorf have been setting
standards in their field. The high degree of accuracy with which
spectral line photometers work, the fine reproducibility of their results,
plus their easy, uncomplicated operation have ali contributed
towards the popularity of the photometric measurement principle both
in the medical field and in industry for research and rutine work.
Flame photometer
The Eppendorf's photometer expertise goes even further. It is possible,
using the Eppendorf Flame photometers, to determine the concentration
of electrolytes in the blood. The company introduced the
first flame photometer in 1955.
With its wide range of photometers, Eppendorf reaffirms its aim:
to produce systems which are fully compatible and which complement
one another right from easy-to-use, hand-held devices through to fully
automatic sample handling and on to complete data processing Solutions
for the laboratory.
