S obzirom na to da komunalne deponije ĉvrstog otpada (KDĈO) predstavljajuveliki izvor zagaĊenja, nameće se neophodnost pravilnog pristupa u smislu donošenja konaĉnih rešenja u ciljunjihovih sanacija i rekultivacija u cilju zaštite ţivotne sredine. Kako KDĈO zagaĊuju, pored ostalog podzemne vodei geosredinu, nameće se neophodnost razmatranja na koje sve naĉine je moguće izvršiti „leĉenje―, odnosnoremedijaciju pomenutih medija. Sama kompleksnost remedijacije podzemnih voda i geosredine zahtevamultidisciplinarni pristup rešavanju ove problematike. Prilikom razmatranja kojim projektantskim rešenjima trebapristupiti, mora se ozbiljno osvrnuti na to šta se sve odlagalo na komunalne deponije a tek potom pristupitiodgovarajućim istraţivanjima i ispitivanjima ĉiji će rezultati predstavljati optimalne podloge za izradu Glavnihprojekata sanacija, rekultivacija KDĈO sa remedijacijom podzemnih voda i geosredine.Kljuĉne reĉi: KDĈO, sanacija, remedijacija, geosredina, podzemne vodeAbstractIn Serbia there are about 146 registered municipal solid waste landfills (MSWL) and an undetermined number ofopen dumps. Our first sanitary municipal solid waste landfill was put into operation in 2002 in Vranje. In the last fewyears, a few sanitary municipal solid waste landfills have been built in Gornji Milanovac, Kikinda, Leskovac, Pirotand Lapovo, while some municipal solid waste landfills are still under construction. Our country is still facingserious and complex work in solving problems in the field of waste management. Since municipal solid wastelandfills are a big source of pollution, in order to protect the environment there is a need for a proper approach interms of coming up with the final solution towards their recovery and reclamation. Because municipal solid wastelandfills, among other things, pollute groundwater and the geologic environment, there is a need to determine theways in which it is possible to treat or remediate them. The complexity of groundwater and geological environmentremediation requires a multidisciplinary approach to solving the problem. While considering which project solutionshould be used, it is necessary to keep in mind what has been disposed on the municipal landfills, and access theappropriate research and studies whose findings re<strong>present</strong> the optimal base for the Main project of recovery,reclamation and expansion MSWL with groundwater remediation and geological environment.Key words: MSWL, recovery, remediation, geological enviroment, grounwaters504
