times. This is also how the cooperation with the star photographer
Tim Hall came into being. During the past 5 years Hall put Lech
and Zürs in an artistic limelight and photographed it. “We use these
images in our collection which does not only comprise clothing but
also other things we will surprise you with in the near future”, is the
fashion designers’ promise. All the models are available online or
directly at the Arlberg – exclusively at Sporthaus pfefferkorn in Lech.

“These are the names of two sisters whom I found really fascinating
in a documentary on the Alps”, is how Sonia Zimmermann
explains her label’s peculiar name. Lenai & Linai also stands for
time- and ageless fashion made from traditional materials such as
walk-fabric, felt, loden and wool. The clothing can be worn any-
where the climate is a little rough, be it in town or on the countryside.
The woman from Lech followed her dream of designing fashion in
a “learning by doing” kind of way, for the coming winter her motto
remains individuality: “My favourite garments right now are two
hand-knitted, 50-year old cardigans that I wear with everything.
I find people interesting who emphasize their personality with their
clothing. And that doesn’t have to be of the latest fashion.” And
whose personality would Sonia Zimmermann like to emphasize with
her line one day? “Barack obama would look pretty good in it!”

Guntram Strolz designs fashion for stylish people who want to emphasize
their passion for the mountains while never renouncing to
highest quality or functionality. For himself quality is a must: “The
customers need to be comfortable, love our clothing and take pleasure
in wearing it for a long time. That’s why we invest a lot of time
into the development of the cuts, the choice of materials and design.”
With his special energy-shirt the local from Lech even managed
to reach 2nd place at the Weißer Ring race (“White Ring”). Does
it really work then? “Medical tests already underline the increase
in performance. This winter some of the World Championship
participants are going to start with an energear-function in their
race suits!” And Guntram Strolz has a great idea on who to clothe in
“Royals of the Mountains”: The Dutch crown princess Máxima and
crown prince Willem-Alexander.
