amongst their hobbies should adopt a certain
risk-aware and responsible behavior. especially
when leaving the official pistes! More and more
winter sports aficionados today choose to go off
piste but the feeling of freedom on pristine slopes
can be treacherous. It’s not in vain that the topic
of “offpiste safety” has attracted a lot of media attention
recently. In Lech Zürs, a wonderful place
to go off piste, a competent framework for communicating
safety aspects theoretically as well as
practically is drawn up for the first time this year:
The “Snow & Safety Conference” on December 7
and 8 2012 will communicate risks and dangers
to those who take part, giving them a platform to
exchange experiences. The programme contains
highly interesting workshops, speeches, film and
panel discussions as well as a safety day and
freeride day. The aim: in Zürs, the perfect location
for such an event, the “Snow & Safety Conference”
shall become an institution in the world of sports
and tourism in the future!
